Cervical Smears

These are advised for women between 25-64 years. This can be carried out by the practice nurses preferably on day 10-14 of your cycle. You will recieve a recall every 3 years

Child Health Surveillance

All doctors are registered with the Practitioner Services to perform child health surveillance services to ensure well-being and development of the under 5’s. This is carried out in conjunction with a Health Visitor. Our practice nurses carry out Childhood Immunisation Clinic’s every week, by appointment.

Child Development Clinic – by appointment with the health visitors, based at The Avenue Clinic 01923 234282.

Family Planning & Morning After Pill 

All doctors and Nnrses have special training in Family Planning. Doctors are also available for Morning After Pill which is effective up to 5 DAYS after unprotected sex. Contraceptive pill checks are carried out by our healthcare assistants. We also offer a Coil fitting and Contraceptive Implant insertion service.

Travel Clinic

A full range of advice, tablets and immunisations are available. If you book a last minute holiday, please be advised that the majority of vaccinations for far-flung destinations need to be completed 4-6 weeks before you travel. There is a charge for some of these. For advice, or to begin your course of vaccinations you must make an appointment with the practice nurse. Further information is available on the above tab.
